With their standard releases in somewhat of a dormant phase, Universal is rolling out two top-tier films on Blu-Ray next year as part of their 100th anniversary celebration.

All Quiet on the Western Front (Blu-Ray) (1930) is a Blu-Ray/DVD combo and will be released on February 14th. It will include the silent version of the 1930 film, plus additional bonus features (below).
  • Exclusive Introduction by Turner Classic Movies Host and Film Historian Robert Osborne
  • Theatrical Trailer
  • 100 Years of Universal: Restoring the Classics
  • 100 Years of Universal: Academy Award Winners
Also announced are three releases of the beloved Gregory Peck drama To Kill a Mockingbird. The standard and what we are calling the Blu-Ray "Ultimate Collector's Edition" (as an official title is currently lacking), are both available for sale. The standard release comes with essentially the same bonus features as the previously released 2-disc set, and the U.C.E. (Blu-Ray/DVD) comes with the bonus features below, plus a 44-Page booklet.

To Kill a Mockingbird (Blu-Ray) - 50th Anniversary Edition is a combo as well and will be available for both sale and rent. Street date is January 31st.

Proclaimed one of the 100 Greatest American Movies of All Time by the American Film Institute, To Kill A Mockingbird is now available as a 2-Disc set. Hollywood icon Gregory Peck won the Best Actor Academy Award for his brilliant portrayal of the courageous but understated hero Atticus Finch.

The film, based on Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel about innocence, strength and conviction, captured the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar. To Kill A Mockingbird boasts Robert Duvall's screen debut as Boo Radley and Mary Badham's unforgettable, Oscar-nominated performance as Miss Jean Louise "Scout" Finch. Watch it and remember why "it's a sin to kill a mockingbird."

BONUS FEATURES:
  • Academy Award Best Actor Acceptance Speech (Gregory Peck)
  • American Film Institute Life Achievement Award - Gregory Peck's memorable remarks upon receiving the AFI Life Achievement Award
  • Excerpt From Academy Tribute To Gregory Peck - Cecelia Peck's heartwarming farewell to her father given at the Academy, in celebration of his life
  • Scout Remembers - Interview with Mary Badham, who talks about her experiences working with Gregory Peck
