- The Wonderful Country (1959) - Robert Mitchum, Julie London, Gary Merrill, Albert Dekker, Jack Oakie, Charles McGraw, Leroy 'Satchel' Paige
How wonderful to see that THE BIG NIGHT is getting a DVD release. This film is a pretty interesting noir, with great direction by Joseph Losey and an impressive performance by the young John Drew Barrymore. A few months back I did a post on the Los Angeles filming locations:

I definitely recommend THE BIG NIGHT to any noir enthusiasts who have seen all the mainstream film noirs.
