Criterion Presents Eclipse

The Criterion Collection is pleased to announce the launch of its new DVD line, Eclipse, beginning with the March 27 release of the five-disc Series 1: Early Bergman. The mission statement says it well: "Eclipse presents a selection of lost, forgotten, or overshadowed films in simple, affordable editions. Each series is a brief cinematheque retrospective for the adventurous home viewer."

Early Bergman, Eclipse Series 1 will include Torment (1944), Crisis (1946), Port of Call (1948), Thirst (1949), To Joy (1949).
