COMING SOON: Fox Cinema Archives Line (MOD)
While they didn't know it when they started their manufactured on demand program three years ago, Warner's Archive Collection has proven to be a cash cow. Now, according to Lou Lumenick, Fox will soon bow their own MOD line with the moniker of "Fox Cinema Archives."
Details are still sketchy, but Rings on Her Finger (1942), Sweet Rosie O'Grady (1943) and Diplomatic Courier (1951) appear to be in the first wave coming next month with a target of around 150 releases per year.
This announcement is music to the ears of classic movie fans as Fox's classic output has been at a standstill for the last three years. We will, of course, carry this new line as rentals, and will make them available for sale when they become available to wholesale channels.
Stay tuned for more information...

Streeting on August 21st, the debuting Blu-Ray will have a special pre-order price of $17.98 until Sunday.
Considered Hollywood’s first “western noir," Pursued was written by Niven Busch (Duel in the Sun) and co-stars Robert Mitchum (Out of the Past) as Jeb, a man emotionally scarred by his tragic past and inner demons.
Judith Anderson (Rebecca) plays Mrs. Callum, a widow who rescues Jeb when he was a child and raises him as her own with her two biological children. Making Jeb’s life even more complicated is the fact that he and his adopted sister, Thorley (Teresa Wright, Shadow of a Doubt) fall in love with each other, while his adopted brother, Adam (John Rodney) has come to hate him.
Dean Jagger plays Grant, a one-armed stranger who seems bent on tormenting Jeb, Alan Hale plays Jake Dingle, a casino owner who becomes Jeb’s business partner and Harry Carey, Jr. plays Prentice, a young man in love with Thorley.
Pursued features gorgeous black-and-white cinematography by James Wong Howe, rousing musical score by Max Steiner (Casablanca) and great direction by legendary director Raoul Walsh (White Heat).

SYNOPSIS:
After the success of his Fantomas films, French director Louis Feuillade attempted to create the ultimate espionage serial, a ten-episode, seven-hour epic called Les Vampires.
Édouard Mathé stars as Philippe Guerande, a crime-fighting journalist who attempts to penetrate the international ring of thieves known as The Vampires. Among the most fascinating of these sophisticated thieves and assassins is Irma Vep (Musidora), a black-clad seductress whose name is an anagram for "vampre" and who endures today as an icon of European cinema.
At times gruesome, fantastic, and romantic, Les Vampires was a spectacular accomplishment that influenced filmmakers for generations. This Kino Classics edition is authorized by the Gaumont Studios, and was mastered in HD from 35mm film elements restored by the Cinémathèque Française, and is accompanied by a new musical score by the Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra.
