Already released in several public domain versions, VCI has announced an August 4th release date for what's sure to be the definitive edition of The Last of the Mohicans (1932). The Harry Carey starring vehicle will be on two discs and is not expected to have any bonus features.

It will retail for $19.99, but is available at Classicflix.com for only $14.99.

VCI: Zane Grey Theater, Green Hornet & The Last of the Mohicans

Just a quick note for what's on tap from VCI. No solid dates or prices, but Zane Grey Theater (Season 1) and The Green Hornet (1940 - Serial) have been expected for some time so they will probably release first.

Also expected, probably mid to late summer, are two other serials, The Green Hornet Strikes Again! (1941) with Warren Hull and The Last of the Mohicans (1932) with Harry Carey. Stay tuned...
