WARNER ARCHIVE: Our Gang, Plus Crime & Noir Wave

Mentioned two weeks ago with an unbelievable low price of $19.95, and then quickly removed from their site, WBShop has permanently listed The Our Gang Collection for a still reasonable price of $34.95. The five disc set includes all 52 post-Roach MGM shorts and is now available for rent at ClassicFlix.

Also permanently listed and available for rent are the Film Noir & Crime films below:

• Berlin Express (1948) - Robert Ryan, Merle Oberon, Paul Lukas
• Highway 301 (1950) - Steve Cochran, Virginia Grey
• Lightning Strikes Twice (1951) - Richard Todd, Ruth Roman, Mercedes McCambridge, Zachary Scott
• Pay or Die (1960) - Ernest Borgnine
• Suspense (1946) - Barry Sullivan, Albert Dekker, Bonita Granville, Eugene Pallette, Belita
• The Tall Target (1951) - Dick Powell, Paula Raymond, Adolphe Menjou

You can also find them listed HERE in the Recent Additions section. They're available to put in your queue, but may be approximately four weeks before they are available for shipment.

This new wave brings the total Warner Archive titles exclusively available for rent at ClassicFlix.com to 238.

WARNER ARCHIVE: Our Gang, Joe McDoakes and More

Hurry! Hurry! And I do mean HURRY over to WBShop right now as they have two brand new sets listed at super low prices. Whether they'll be available at such a low price for long is unknown, but they have now listed both titles below for only $19.95 each.

• Our Gang Comedies - 52 Shorts (1938 - 1942, 5 Disc Set)
• 63 Joe McDoakes Shorts (6 Disc Set)

Many other new titles are listed and we'll have more on them and the titles above as soon as they permanently become part of the WB site. They will be availble for rent at that time.

EDITORIAL NOTE: It is a little disappointing that Warner doesn't deem the Our Gang set worthy of a general release. But at $19.95, it seems hard to complain.
